ISABELLE BEKE, Made in Cote d’Ivoire

Hello everyone,

I’ve been out here for days now and I’m sorry! I was a little bit busy but i’m back now.

As always, I’ll start by the fashion quote of the day: « Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. »- Coco Channel.

Today, in this new post, I’ll talk about a lady from Cote d’Ivoire. She’s very, but very beautiful. When it comes to fashion in Cote d’Ivoire, she’s among the names that strike your attention. For me, she’s the definition of classy and fabulous. Ladies and gentlemen: ISABELLE BEKE

Born in Cote d’Ivoire, she leaves at the age of 5 to study in France. At the age of 15, she was spotted in Lyon, near the shopping center « La Part de Dieu » by the director of the agency Gladys Fashion, and signs, few years later a contract with the modeling agency.

After a few magazine covers and edits for fashion magazines like Lips, Le Figaro, Air France Madame, Amina, Lyon Madame, … also scroll to fashion houses such as Guy Laroche, Christian Lacroix, Alexi Mabille, Catherine Pradeau.

Shen then went to discover New York, Shanghai,  Miami, Johannesburg, Bayreuth, Los Angeles with the Metropolitan Model Agency of New York , then worked with the New York photographer Jeffrey Gamble in NYC, Geoffrey Olisa in Washington DC. Later on, she is cast by the person who discevered Fatou N’Diaye « Fatou La Malienne »,  Meiji U’Tumsi for the role of Caroline  in her first feature film « The Bet of Love » from the literary collections « Adoras »  of director Dider Aufort .

LE PARI DE L’AMOUR (THE BET OF LOVE)

Caroline (Isabelle Beke) lives a quiet lives a quiet life and works in a hair salon. She’s preparing her wedding with her fiancee Jean-Philippe. But this life without passion will suddenly be disrupted by the unexpected results of a horses’ race. Caroline is set to travel to Paris, travel in which she left her husband-to-be for a playboy int the show-business.

Despite what she did, Jean-Philippe who still loved her, took her back, and the most beautiful part of the movie is the end. Here are Caroline’s words to Jean-Philippe:

« I was looking for happiness in other places, while it was right in front of me. You know, money doesn’t buy happiness. But you know what? I’ll take another bet, the bet of love. »

There’s no doubt that this fine lady has surely succeeded. She proudly represents Africa, and she’s not done yet. I wish her the best in her life and career!
